Does an Acne Fast Really Work?
By now I’m sure everyone’s heard about Chris Gibson’s book Acne Free in 3 Days. I’ve read many different reviews on his book but not many reviews have I read where the author actually tried the recommended acne fast or acne diet. I have a question…how can you write a good book review and not try what the book is suggesting? I purchased the book out of curiosity, completed the 3 day acne fast, and here is what I discovered about the acne fast.
Did the 3 day acne fast cure me completely of acne? No but it helped and is still helping.
Day One (Monday)
Before the acne fast I had only previously tried a 3 day fast for religious purposes once my entire life. His prescription for this fast was inexpensive but very strict. He recommended in the book that to achieve maximum results the diet had to be followed exactly as he had instructed.
I started the diet on Sunday night. The only food I could eat was this one particular fruit and of course drink plenty of water. I could eat as much of this fruit as I wanted throughout the day. I thought I would be okay and wouldn’t starve but I was wrong. Monday was very tough and I almost quit on this acne diet. Also prescribed in the acne diet is a colon cleanse every night. That was an experience of a lifetime on Monday night. I got really nauseated from the cleanse and was literally shocked at the results the cleanse produced. I never knew all of that gunk was lodged inside my intestines. After this first cleanse, I noticed several differences in my body. The immediate difference was my bad breath was instantly gone. The second difference was my energy level shot through the roof. The third difference was my internal system felt very calm. I felt so much better physically.
Day Two (Tuesday)
All day Monday I had a headache. I endured spurts of physical highs and physical lows. My energy would be bolstered at times and at times I had no energy. I tried to eat more of his recommended fruit but it didn’t deplete the crave for other foods. I also noticed some weight loss on Day Two which I expected. I administered the colon cleanse that night and didn’t experience any of Monday nights nausea. It went well. I could tell my colon was getting cleaner and I continued to feel better.
Day Three (Wednesday)
I had no headaches or any physical issues on Wednesday. I felt great the entire day. I wasn’t hungry and my energy was fine. I began seeing a difference in my skin as well. There were no new acne outbreaks. The acne that I had already was subsiding. The acne hadn’t entirely left but I knew that the acne diet had a profound effect on my skin.
The rest of the week my skin continued to improve until maybe around Day Five when I felt confident the Acne Fast worked. Previously, when I would awake in the mornings, I was very sluggish like any average person would be. But as a result of the acne fast, I am no longer sluggish in the mornings when I awake. There isn’t that normal drain to get out of the bed. When I awake, I get up and get moving. I have energy all day. My body has never felt so calm. I’ve decided to make this acne fast a habit and endure it at least once every 4 months. I feel so much better and my skin is improving day by day. I’m very happy with the results. I would recommend the 3 Day Acne Diet to anyone that is hunting for a cure to their acne and at the same time find answers for their total health. If you have comments or questions, leave a comment.
